Over a predefined series of 1 hour sessions, a Trained Coach uses specific methods, techniques and exercises to allow you to:
First, identify your long term and short term goals. These may be personal and/or professional such as resolving a problem, targeting and achieving a new success, dealing with conflicts or coping with transitions.
Second, explore your motivation, investigate new sources of strength and support, and uncover what may be holding you back.
And finally, encourage you to come up with your own strategy or action plan to carry you toward your objective.
Anything shared in the sessions is entirely confidential and will never leave the room.
In a nutshell, most sessions help you to better focus your thoughts. Some touch on deep emotions. There may be multiple layers to both these thoughts and these emotions. Once you can really SEE them, you begin to have the power to either alter them or harness them.
But one thing is certain. Whatever follows is up to YOU. You will leave a session with more inner knowledge and usually a strategy, but what you choose to do with this information is your responsibility.
In coaching this is called ‘accountability’. You are the master of your destiny.
